The first two articles on RawStory at 6 this morning (Pacific time) were 'This is an earthquake': Strategist warns town hall furor signals midterm disaster for GOP and 'Back-of-the-napkin stuff': GOP senators feel double-crossed by deal cut by Trump.
And THIS is why the cruelty and lack of empathy by Trump and his lackeys have been so prevalent as to be rendered practically impotent through the MSM's normalization of all of it.
This modus operandi has been strategically planned to elicit shrugs from the voting public when atrocities like this are committed. Just like the school shootings that have almost become so commonplace that they aren't hardly even news anymore, the violence and deliberate mistreatment by Trump and his thugs is almost too much to continue to absorb. So we look away.
Trump isn't smart enough or savvy enough to have engineered any of this himself, but that doesn't mean he isn't smart enough or savvy enough to listen to people who HAVE engineered it on his behalf... particularly when it means it will give Trump more money and power to inflict pain on those he deems unworthy.
If Trump ISN'T the Antichrist, he will certainly suffice until the genuine article comes along.

If there is such an entity as the anti-Christ, he (or it) is sitting back attending to something else because Trump might as well be one of his most effective demons.
