My city council is united against Trumpism, By Hal M. Brown

Just a short end of the day Substack. We live in a suburb just south of Portland, Oregon in a city called Milwaukie (with an “ie” not a double “e”). Every month we are sent a publication called Milwaukie Pilot. Many people ar like us in that we barely glance at it.

When I went to get my mail and was walking from the outside mailbox I glanced at the first sentence which read "Residents of Milwaukie, we come before you as a united City Council to address the alarming first steps take by the federal administation."

It reminded me how lucky my friends and family are lucky to live in a place where we have local government officials united against Trump and Trumpism.
