IMO, Vance is unlikely to retain the same fervor in the MAGAt base that Trump now has. However, Vance has a DIFFERENT faction of right wing whack jobs who are champing at the bit to see him in the big seat so that THEY can push all the buttons for THEIR agenda that includes only THEIR interests and welfare.

Pete Townshend said it best: Meet the new boss...same as the old boss.

I'm convinced that Trump is now a puppet, an easily manipulated fool, and that Russ Vought is the operational executive in the Office of the President, busily dismantling the government following Project 2025. Meanwhile, Stephen Miller, who writes all the executive orders, is distracting everyone's attention with his pathological hatred of all immigrants. (Trump promised to deport criminal illegal immigrants; Miller is intent on deporting any immigrant, legal or not, or anyone who looks like an immigrant.) Trump will be allowed to continue stirring up the MAGA base until his mental decline results in even more wacky pronouncements, at which point the Epstein files will suddenly surface and Trump will quietly resign. Vance will assume the Presidency, and he's smart enough to take direction from the Project 2025 conspirators if he wants to keep his job. It has become evident from the abuse of the shadow docket that John Roberts is either a collaborator or a co-conspirator in Project 2025. It's the Heritage Foundation that's in charge. The good news is that they are unlikely to want a true dictator; they will be satisfied with a "democracy" that is committed to continuing the transfer of wealth to the ultrawealthy, a goal they have been pursuing since Reagan.
