Hi Hal. It is unfortunate that you did not watch the other blocks on Maddow's show last night. We thought it important. You can catch it on YouTube, I think. We watched Monday's Daily Show with Jon Stewart after Lawrence and it was so good. He took Schumer to the woodshed for, well, being Shumer of the old school. It fell into what I think is so important. He only does his show on Mondays. Great shots today in the pool!!
We were getting impatient with Rachel's cheerfulness and, as I wrote, her focus on a secondary issue. I wish she was as serious as Lawrence and just about all the other MSNBC evening hosts. I feel the same about "Morning Joe" and how they have all the fluff stuff on in between covering serious issues. In the morning, when the nation is hurling towards a brutal dictatorship, I want my morning joe bitter and black.
Just saw a clip of an ICE raid in Denver and they were using flash bang grenades of the sort that are used when SWAT is arresting armed criminals. This was oblviously to put on a show. The country is burning and nobody in the media should be fiddling.
My message to Rachel is to get deadly serious. There isn't a damn thing to even present the hint of a smile over. Her story about the sprinter with the last name of Gay is just as unserious and unnecessary as me writinng about my childhood author friend Gay Courter.
excellent essay thank you. I totally agree. His outrageous comments on Gaza, Panama, Greenland, etc. are meant to distract while he and musk rob us blind.
They rob us blind not only of our money in the common way we think of robbers robbing. They rob us of our standing as humanitrains in third world nations. The rob us by promoting ignorance and embracing pseudoscience. Mostly, they rob us of our freedom and our democracy at home.
