Thanks for commenting. Everyone will benefit from finding their happy place, or if they are lucky more than one happy place, where they can take a respite from their fear and despair for a period of time. Then unfortunately when reality strikes it is so often abrupt and a shock to the system which says, in effect, "holy shit, this is really happening." Alas, this isn't a nightmare where you are falling of a cliff you wake up just before you hit the ground and breathe a sign of relief. The Queen of Hearts isn't a playing card. She's the despotic Royal Donald. This is the reality where we have fallen off the cliff and already have hit the ground with our democracy shattered.
I'm a retired psychiatrist and fan of psychohistory. I spent 42 yrs. assisting 25k+ suffering souls in their/our discovery of the source of their agony and an escape route. I must admit, however, that it has taken my alcoholism recovery and extensive self-analysis in the 26 yrs. of 12-step meetings that has allowed the revelation of how my father's hatred of me, his son and only child, was just a reconstruction of how he was treated by his father. Such patterns of multigenerational abuse are not uncommon in the addiction treatment field/12-step mtg's. Trump is, also, such a wounded manchild, and deserves the resentment melting compassionate regard that all such children do. I was not able to forgive/stop hating my father until I realized that he was only repeating the hateful behavior of HIS father. I have written extensively about Trump's psychology and how it drives his self-other hatred that drives so many to distraction and hatred of the hater. Compassionate regard for the abused child that lurks in the compensatory behaviors of the abuse victim has allowed me to forgive my father and Trump. I have been attacked by hate addicted parties on both political extremes for my analysis, which has led me to hypothesize that we may be a nation of traumatized and abandoned souls. You'll find the details on "Greeley's Newsletter" on substack. Good luck and have a blessed day.
I recommend https://greeleymiklashekmd.substack.com/ for Greeley's insights into what makes Trump tick and for his own self-disclosure. There are two kinds of wounded manchildren. One those who can looking unflinchingly at themselves and others, like Trump, who are in denial and take their hurt out on others.
